          smashingmag Break it down into the smallest chunks of work possible. If you can’t confidently give an estimate that feels realistic for a task, try to break it down further.

        smashingmag Don’t be surprised if the total amount appears to be a bit high and don’t cut it based on gut feelings or to please the client.

      smashingmag If a client asks for a discount, don’t promise to do the same amount of work in less time. Instead, look if you can leave something out or reduce the scope of certain pieces of work.

    smashingmag I also don’t do quantity discounts anymore. My time/work isn’t worth *less* only because I work *more*. 😉
