      1. I just “compensated” my flight from Stuttgart to Stockholm with a donation to myclimate. Which is the least you can do and does not undo the emissions you produce with air travel. CO2 cumulates in the atmosphere and each gram we add is one gram too much.

      My flight(s) from Stuttgart to Stockholm via Munich, for example, add about 0,162 metric tons of CO2 to the atmosphere. That’s about 30 days of driving to work by car.

      And for all my fellow German citizens, especially those who argue that we are a highly developed country and that most of the pollution is produced in China or elsewhere. Per capita CO2 emissions for Germany in 2017: 9 tons.

          For most journeys within Europe, traveling by train is just as fast and you can even get stuff done. So I will only fly if going by train would take an unreasonable amount of time. Still doesn’t feel good, though…
